Felipe Cortina Latapí. Managing Director. Counts with a degree in Public Accounting with a Master in Business Administration by the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). Founder and Director of Axfel, S.C. Investment Banking Advisors Counts with extensive experience in investment banking and corporate finance. Is member of the management committee of several firms related to the insurance, pharmaceutical, real state and services industries. At the beginning of his career, he worked for Chevez Ruíz, Zamarripa y Cía. S.C. a very prestigious tax advisory firm and also in Ruíz Urquiza y Cía, S.C. (Arthur Andersen).
Juan Eduardo Diaz Quiroz. Associate. Has a degree in Business Administration from the ITESM- CCM and a Master in Finance from the UNAM-FCA. The theme of his thesis was “Intangibles in firm valuations and stock sell/purchase processes”. Has been part of AXFEL since 2001. In 2005 was promoted to associate. Some highlights are his financial and economic surveys in collaboration with Reuters and the Mexican Institute of Radio. Likewise, he is a specialist in valuation models, as well as in determining the risks associated with the lack of controls and procedures in firms. Previously, he performed as an analyst in Consertec Consultores, S.C. He also worked as a professor in the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM-CCM). Víctor Juan Soto. Associate. Counts with a degree in Public Accounting from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba Argentina and a Master in Business Administration from the Universidad Católica de Córdoba. Is responsible for Axfel´s operations in Argentina, through the firm Interface Group, S.A. that is specialized in providing Integral Financial Advisory Services. Counts with vast experience in the elaboration, planning and implementation of investment projects in Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. Likewise, has extensive knowledge in obtaining national and international lines of credit. Previously, worked as financial and new business director at Prodismo, S.R.L., a firm in the automobile industry. Pablo Matus Guerra. Associate. Pablo holds a BA in Management from ITAM and an MBA from Stern (New York’s University Business School). As an associate at AXFEL, Pablo has participated in investment capital transactions as well as Mergers & Acquisitions in Mexico and the U. S. Previously, he worked at Bank of America as Director of Investment Banking in Mexico City, and at Bank of America Securities as Senior Associate of M&A in Miami. Furthermore, he worked as Director of Financial Planning at CIE Las Américas, the leading company on live entertainment for the Hispanic and Portuguese markets. Pablo also worked at McKinsey & Co. as Senior Specialist in Corporate Finance and Strategy in New York, where he advised dozens of companies from all continents, except Africa, in M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, capital investments and management of corporate value.
Mónica Otero Góngora. Manager. Mónica holds a BA degree in International Relations from the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM). To obtain the BA title she presented the thesis: “ A solution to North American inequity? The Regional Policy and its experience in the European Union”. She then obtained an M.A. in International Economics and Finance with a concentration on International Business from Brandeis University (Waltham, Massachusetts). Since 2007 Mónica has participated as a consultant at AXFEL. Previously, she worked as a teacher´s assistant on Financial Economics at Brandeis University, as a credit advisor at Banamex, and as a research assistant on international finance related issues at ITAM. |
